Prof. Emmanuel Mutisyal is an Education, youth and Skills Development leader with expertise in sustainability science, education policies, strategic planning, financial inclusion and artificial intelligence. Prof. Mutisya has over 15 years leadership and project management working with governments, international organizations, universities and multi-national companies including the Government of Kenya, United Nations, and JICA.

He is currently a Program Coordinator at the African Development Bank’s Human Capital, Youth and Skills Development Department and a Visiting Professor at the University of Nairobi, Kenya. As a researcher, he has published several articles and books on sustainability, higher education for sustainable development, youth entrepreneurship, policy reforms, impact evaluation, and big data.

Prof. Mutisya was educated in Kenya, Sweden and Japan. He holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from Karlstad University in Sweden, Master of Arts in Public Administration from the International Christian University in Japan and a PhD in Sustainability Science from The University of Tokyo in Japan.
