DAY 2 | 1st November 2023
The second day is dedicated to a teacher-centric theme, including during the school visits. The aim of the visits is to gain practical understanding of the role of teachers in the Zambia Catch Up programme. Focus is on observing real-world practices and conditions, and considering how these observations might inform future actions and decisions related to teachers and FL. This approach allows for a deeper exploration of the teacher issues (in-service training, professional status of teachers, and recruitment and retention of early learning teachers) and the subsequent development of actionable recommendations for the FL Plan of Action.
